Provenance Rentals' 2022 Year-In-Review

Happy holidays to all! As 2022 wraps up, we bow our heads and our hearts with sincere gratitude that we get to stay in business, have the most fun job, grow another year, and continue to serve you with beautiful event rentals for your special moments in life. If we didn’t have our clients and the support of friends and family, we wouldn’t be given this opportunity. We say thank you.

All the Cool Things We Do

As Provenance Rentals evolves, we are surprised and excited by the diversity of events and clients we get to work with and be part of. Provenance Rentals loves that customers find our collection and select us as “the one” to create something special, magical, and unique. Learn about some of our 2022 events and how these same rentals can make your next special occasion stand out from the herd.

Social Events - Weddings, Bridal & Baby Showers, Easter Brunch, Birthdays, Mitzvahs, & more

Usually the beginning of the year is slower. However, even in cooler months it started out with a bang — we had bookings coming in non-stop. This year everyone wanted lounges—something we love curating and designing most. Of course, we also had several weddings and social events in need of arches, chairs, textiles, too.

One of our most fun and beautiful events was working with Kirstin Maldanado of Pentatonix and Pitch Perfect 2 for her baby shower in Century City. One of our most favorite weddings was a beautiful Pakastani wedding over the course of the weekend at Valentine DTLA. One of the coolest bat mitzvahs we did was held at CBS studios in Studio City.

As more couples and clients find us, we love that our brand expands and becomes more inclusive. We love working with people of all backgrounds, religions, races, orientations and preferences, abilities, and much more. Our broad client base makes us unique.

Frieze-Los Angeles

When February rolled around we were sought out to be part of the iconic week-long art show, Frieze-Los Angeles, in Beverly Hills. Our furniture and shelving set the stage for a VIP brunch at the Beverly Hilton hosted by The Financial Times. Working with a respected journal like TFT and all the West Coast art crowd seeing our collection front and center were huge accomplishments.

Film & Television

Better Things season Finale Airs on Fx/Hulu

The season finale of Better Things aired in February. It was one of the most exciting productions to be part of. We love Pamela Adlon and the art department team we worked with — such a special show, cast, and crew. Our classic Hudson Rustic Farm Tables were sought out for the wedding scene in this great show. There was even the coolest drone shots of them in the episode — so you gotta watch to see. The entire cast, including supporting characters, sat around our tables in celebration of the second wedding of Sunny and Jeff at Sam’s House. It was the perfect goodbye the show gave its cast. Be sure to check out the finale episode and the entire show streaming on Hulu.

Book Launch - CBS’Ghosts Summer of Ghosts Hetty-quette: A Book of Etiquette

In June, some of our vintage rentals were cherry-picked for the launch of the book Hetty-Quette: A Book on Etiquette from the CBS show Ghosts. The event was held at the Ripped Bodice in Culver City and attended by the cast and other stars. Our Ashley French Settee served as the focal point and main seating spot against the backdrop at this beautiful event along with some other choice rentals.

LoveShackFancy Home Line Product Launch at Kathy Hilton on Entertainment Tonight

Another noteworthy party was a product launch for a new line for LoveShackFancy hosted at none other than Kathy Hilton’s mansion. If anyone knows me, then you will know I am a Real Housewives super fan so to get this opportunity was something we could not pass on. Our lovely vintage furniture decorated the foyer and patio for a chic tea party. Many celebrities and fashion influencers were in attendance and loved how beautiful everything looked between flowers, catering, cakes, and furniture. The event was televised on Entertainment Tonight and published in other online outlets.

The Kardashians/Hulu Press Conference in Malibu

Right before the new Kardashians show was set to air, Hulu held a press conference in Malibu at the Nobu Ryokan boutique hotel pulling out all the stops. The Kardashasians took over the entire place each with their own customized room complete with their brands’ products. Our pink and mauve velvet upholstered furniture was in Kylie’s room and production told us everyone LOVED our furniture. Even though vendors were not allowed to post since this was such an exclusive event, you can see Kylie seated on our Cotton Candy Mauve Armchair and a sweet lounge in her ocean view room with our Keely Mauve Velvet Armchairs and our Bryce Pink Velvet Channel Ottomans on her Instagram.

New Reality TV Show A-List

In November, True Entertainment approached us for some table and chair rentals which will be on a new reality show entitled A-List. Once it hits the small screen, we will be sure to let you know. Be sure to check out our Aspen Modern White Farm Table and Black Chameleon Cross Back Chair in an upcoming episode.

Real Estate - Home Staging, Open Houses, Home Sales, & Events

Home Sales/Open Houses

One industry we absolutely love working with is real estate. This year we closely collaborated with KB Homes all over LA County when they hosted open house/home sale events in places like Torrance, Santa Clarita, San Pedro, Arcadia, and more. Prospective buyers were invited to enjoy fun events with food while a mobile DJ played music, play games, and more and a chance to socialize and unwind on our lounges, peacock chairs, tables, and dining chairs in the KB Home brand signature black and yellow colors.

We also worked with Engel & Völkers for a party for La Maison Blanche, an exclusive listing in Calabasas which is the pinnacle of luxury and elegance. We curated a chic lounge from our vintage furniture like our Gwendolyn Mint Green Vintage Settee and props like our Ingrid Crystal Cut Tea Cart from Germany.

Home Staging

One of our favorite industries to work with is real estate. We love helping seller’s get their beautiful California homes market-ready. One of the best home staging opportunities we did this year was for a sweet bungalow in West Hollywood adjacent to Santa Monica Boulevard. This chic property was quietly nestled away on a side street and boosted a huge outdoor living space, but indoors our modern furniture rentals helped dress the place to showcase to brokers and potential buyers. If you are curious about working with us for your home staging needs, please let us know. We would be happy to create a long-term rental with more favorable pricing so you can sell your home for more. Staging a home breathes life and imagination into what the property is capable of looking like. Staged homes sell faster and for more money than non-staged home.

Panels & Diverse Clients

The Most

In April, The Most contacted us to create lounges and micro-lounges for their 2-day mastermind event in West Hollywood. It was a unique experience to work with so many ambitious entrepreneurs and creatives as they held panels and one-on-one coaching sessions amongst our beautiful pieces playing an integral role. They wanted special pieces to create an atmosphere that aligned with their brand and mission.

Ask2BSure

Provenance Rentals is an all-inclusive, lifestyle brand. We love opening our doors to the myriad clients out there. This year we worked with some awesome organizations and individuals catering to the disabled. In May, GlaxoSmithKline, Mamarazzi, The MOMS, and Soleil Moon Frye hosted a very special talk Ask2BSure which is about spreading awareness about Meningitis B and the vaccine to prevent it. It is a devastating disease that can change your life (mostly young people and those in close quarters) overnight. We were asked to create a college dorm feel — since the event appealed to moms of high school and college-aged children. We focused on highlighting bright, playful colors, shapes, and 80s/90s vibes and fun props that would typically be seen in dorm life all the while including the signature yellow branding colors of Ask2BSure.

At the panel, attendees heard from survivors of the illness, parents who lost their children to it and parents of children who are survivors, medical professionals, and Soleil Moon Frye and her daughter, Poet — two spokespeople for Ask2BSure. All spoke out on the signs to look for, vaccines that are available, education on the disease, the different strains, and more. It was truly an inspiring event.

Wheels of the World

Not only was Ask2BSure a great event to be part of, in July we worked with Wheels of the World and the Rollettes when they appeared in Los Angeles for their annual event. The Rollettes are an active group of dancers in wheelchairs, but the event is open to everyone of all abilities and there is no requirement to be a dancer to attend. It is a unique experience with people who come in from all over the world.

We helped Wheels of the World set up their expo booth complete with large furniture and nostalgic vintage travel details. It is truly a blessing we are approached to work with such great and inspiring brands helping change the world for the better.

Branding Events

Provenance Rentals always loves working with other brands — big, small, local, global, similar, and different industries — you name it. One branding event we loved this year was when we helped our friends at Katie’s Kreations Events. Our friend, Aisha, is the founder and creator of this wedding and event planning business. She’s was our first friend in the industry. Executing the vision for her personally — and not just on behalf of her clients — with our rentals was a nice highlight at the end of the year. We brim with glee working with her sunny brand and wish her all the success in the world.
