Blush, Burgundy + Berries Wedding Inspiration

We had the pleasure of meeting the vivacious Lauren Taylor of Taylor'd Southern Events. She started in the wedding world as a photographer, but her business has expanded into a full-service wedding planning company in both California and Florida. A fan of both burgundy and pink, she married the two colors into this gorgeous styled shoot recently published on Strictly Weddings. Aside from orchestrating 35 vendors to create an opportunity for multiple photographers to capture a real life gorgeous bride and groom with a bridal party, Lauren also found this couple was in need of actual wedding photos. This tugs at our heartstrings.
Monica, our princess bride, is from Scandinavia. Gabe, her handsome groom, is from Cuba. These two exchanged vows at a modest courthouse ceremony, and because their families both live so far away they were unable to attend their wedding. Unlike the many lucky couples out there, these two never got those special wedding photos representing the important moments to forever cherish. The Blush + Burgundy Romantic Styled Shoot was the perfect backdrop to capture their love.
TPC Valencia set the stage for this romantic shoot boasting impressive outdoor natural views of mountains and greenery. Lauren arranged several vignettes to inspire all the elements of a perfect wedding. For starters, the invitation suite designed by Blush and Blue Calligraphy is a welcome of what is to come.
We love talking about the elegant vintage lounge complete with our Victorian pink sofa (a perennial favorite), along with our parlor chairs, and channel back arm chairs. Also, no reception is complete without a perfectly planned tablescape. Wooden farm tables and cross-back chairs by AV Party Rentals made for an idyllic al fresco dinner. We swooned over all the gold details Lauren elegantly wove in with gold flatware, gold trimmed chargers, and gold candlestick holders.
Our 50 year old bar cart from Germany with brass accents was the mini-bar for the wedding. Let's not forget one of the best parts: dessert stations! Our cream-colored dresser with inlay details served as the cake table for an otherworldly gold-flecked naked cake with multiple tiers by Beyond the Whisk Bake Shoppe and dressed with flowers, greenery, and berries by Sacred Romance Floral Design. Our vintage vanity held handmade pies on our pink glass cake stand from the 1960's.
The bride and her bridesmaids shined in their elegant couture by Vera Wang and David's Bridal. Monica's gown is nothing short of captivating. The silhouette is flattering, feminine, and graceful. How sweet is the bow nestled on her lower back? Both she and her groom, in a tux from The Tuxedo Revue, appeared dapper and chic. Monica and her bridesmaids had the perfectly coiffed hair by the talented Buetowful Hair. and natural makeup by Carissa Vaughn of Selphi Salon.
No wedding is complete without jewelry, and the plush Mrs. Box bundled the ring so nicely. We also love the alternate styling with our gold heirloom jewelry box and vintage hammered tray. Furthermore, the florals for the bride, bridesmaids, and boutonniere by Sacred Romance Floral Design were not only stunning, but they tied in with the colors of the shoot; we could not have envisioned a more cohesive arrangement. We loved every element of this well-planned shoot and we hope it provides some inspiration for your events in 2018!
