Jessee & Isaac’s Romantic, Sentimental Pink & Blue Hummingbird Nest Ranch-Q Vineyards Wedding

Our fun-loving couple, Jessee and Isaac, are beyond amazing, but their wedding story is what truly inspired us and melted our hearts. Provenance Rentals only aligns with extraordinary, special clients and their respective events mirror their uniqueness. We were so grateful to be part of their journey: a beautiful love story on their most important day together as a couple.
Our friends PS Plans & Associates, creative wedding planner professionals, helped Jessee and Isaac navigate and design the wedding of their dreams in what would be the most difficult period in our time. As much as we dislike reliving Covid and its significant disruptions, we would be remiss if we ignored the difficulties this couple endured as a result and, thus, overcame them. Jessee and Isaac’s wedding faced successive postponements in what looked like a frustrating loop. However, thanks to the relentless pursuits of Chabeli and her team at PS Plans, they found a potential perfect fit: Hummingbird Nest Ranch-Q Vineyards nestled in Simi Valley—iconic views with mountainscapes, lush greenery, vivid colorful flowers, and if you are lucky you may witness some wildlife like bunnies and, of course, hummingbirds.
When Chabeli informed Jessee that her June wedding date was actually available at this very location planning ramped up full steam ahead. Unfortunately, Jessee’s grandmother recently passed away during this time, but before doing so she whispered that she would return to Jessee as a hummingbird. Hummingbirds hold powerful and positive symbolic meaning: joy, good luck, and healing. A sign from her grandmother: this was the place Jessee and Isaac would exchange their vows before loved ones. It was kismet. The hummingbird is a consistent presence in their wedding.
It was an idyllic June day: the sun shown brightly and the sky was cloud-free. It was the day Jessee would marry her Isaac. The couple dressed and groomed in their respective suites in anticipation of the big day. Sam Salk of Mobile Bridal masterfully made natural-beauty Jessee wedding-ready with perfectly coiffed beachy hair and glowing make-up along with the bridal party. Following this, the couple were escorted by Kate of Katie Jane Photography for their first look along with Light Up Video outside the romantic barn backdrop. Kate captured tender moments of the couple seeing each other before the rest of their guests. The two exchanged gifts and teary-eyed private, special moments, and embraces. First looks are so important since weddings go by in a flash. This is an exclusive, intimate time capsule for just the couple to remember each other for the rest of time and how perfect they are to one another.
Then there was the ceremony: A grassy spot adjacent the reception site and barn boasts stunning views of the Santa Susana Mountains that etch the skyline. The most important part where these two exchanged their vows and shared an eternal promise to love one another and build a life together. Jessee and Isaac thought of every detail as guest experienced their pretty pink and blue wedding. Upon entrance, guests were greeted with stunning stationery design by Simply Stated and drinks at the welcome and remembrance table displaying photos of loved ones since passed; attending in spirit. At the pinnacle of the aisle was the incomplete, asymmetrical floral arch designed by Lindsey White Studio. Her colorful and lush floral designs were woven throughout the event. The ceremony was perfectly orchestrated as guests sat on both sides facing the mountainous views with their eyes locked on the bridal party as they made their way down the aisle. There was such an adorable flower girl and ring bearers, too! The real sight was watching Jessee meet Isaac at the altar. The two exchanged vows, “I Love You,” and a kiss to seal their love before family and friends. Blissfully the two made their way down the aisle as the guests were ushered to cocktail hour.
In order to create a knock-your-socks-off event, we at Provenance Rentals crafted this gorgeous customized lounge area for the couple and their guests to enjoy in the romantic barn. Based on the color scheme, we designed a modern, yet elegant seating area where guests could slink off for intimate conversations to ensue in comfort and style. Our London Tufted Pink Velvet Sofa served as the focal point for the lounge. We brought in our Plum Velvet Armchairs which anyone can sink right in. Next, we added our classic and famous Linnea Pink Rug, with our signature Prima White Velvet Tufted Ottomans, and we needed gold tables. Our Citron Coffee Table with gold leafing, a detail we love, rested center stage and our Divya Brass Accent Tables that have a cage-like quality (remember hummingbirds), which we also see with an elegant cake designed by Nicole Bakes Cakes atop a gold cage as well. Don’t forget adorable pin tuck navy blue pillows dressed up the sofa and a delicate floral arrangement to complete the look! Jessee and Isaac spared no expense to fashion a cohesive, beautiful wedding delicately tying together all elements of the event from each vendor and their personal touches.
Following the ceremony, Jessee and Isaac made their grand entrance with a lively beat played by DJ Ken of MES Entertainment. This just matches their fun-loving personalities. They arrived in front of everyone on the lawn where string lighting, a crisp white dance floor, rustic farm tables, and cross-back chairs, along with tabletop in the couples’ choice colors provided by A Rental Connection which created an al fresco dining experience. We loved the sweetheart table just for the couple and the incomplete, asymmetrical arch framing them producing more warmth, ambiance, and romance. Loved ones gave heartfelt speeches to the couple as they cozied up together. Gorgeous floral centerpieces rested atop the farm tables. The guests also enjoyed delicious cocktails, tray-passed appetizers, and dinner by Command Performance Catering. Jessee and Isaac also had signature cocktails made to really make this event special serviced up in the barn. The night finished with lots of fun and first-class entertainment and music, and of course, the perennial favorite interactive experience: the photo booth by Stay Lit Photo Booth.
