One of the many things we love about Courtney & Kaveh are their giant hearts. They are kind and loving, but they also extend their warmth to some of most vulnerable: animals. Courtney & Kaveh own their own pets, Pippen and the recently adopted, Payton, but they also help rescue and foster other sweet pooches in need of forever homes.

It was no wonder why we loved working with them for their wedding. The moment I first talked to Courtney I liked her. Our initial phone call lasted almost two hours! We bonded and connected, and she loved so many pieces from our collection (a girl after our own vintage hearts). One of our best planners we frequently work with, Kate Wright, from Blue Door Creative put us in touch for Courtney & Caveh’s coastal summer wedding as she was their planner.

Courtney & Kaveh met in Manhattan Beach while Courtney spent a summer in California as an intern. Having enjoyed each other’s company for seven consecutive weeks, they would unfortunately have to part ways. However, they gave it a go and lived ten months as a long-distance couple. Their love remained true weathering the time and space apart; Kaveh knew she was the one. Kaveh would eventually propose to his beautiful bride-to-be.

Flash forward to the wedding. When it came time to finding the perfect venue, Courtney & Kaveh chose the Marriott Marina del Rey: with its coastal vibes with panoramic views; plus it held significance to their relationship. They wanted their family and friends to experience those feelings of how they met and the love they share by the Pacific Ocean.

To echo the marina vibes, the couple chose a color palette of blues hues mixed with rich metallics: elegant, timeless, and chic. Their stationery created by The Copy Shop reflected the serenity of California coast. Their reception tablescapes were filled with gold chivari chairs, gold chargers and vintage candlesticks some in our collection, some in hers, and table numbers in silver. Our gold Geometric Card Box also fit right in with the design aesthetics. At their sweetheart table, the couple chose one of our perennial favorites the Ashley French Settee in white linen and a gold leafed frame which is perfect for close embraces and sneaking kisses as a newlywed couple.

We would be remiss if we didn’t talk about the signature cocktails after their beloved dogs, the Pippen and Rocco, the family’s pet. We love how they incorporated their littlest loved ones into the wedding in many details. Not to mention, sweet Pippen donned a floral collar for the wedding. She was one of the most popular in the bridal party! You can understand why.

But before the reception, there was the ceremony on the rooftop which was also dramatic with sweeping panoramic views of the entire city. From one side you bask in the ocean breeze and see the horizon, the other—downtown Los Angeles and the mountains. It was a perfect summer day; these two exchanged their vows under an arch elegantly decorated with florals by Culver City Flower Shop and chiffon drapery flowing in the delicate ocean breeze. By the end of the night, family and friends alike danced the night away as Courtney & Kaveh spent the best day of their lives together with the ones they loved.

Wishing you both, and your growing family, the happiest of lives together and keep saving those dogs! xo, Provenance Rentals
