Could there a more perfectly matched couple? These two dynamic ladies, both coincidentally named Stephanie (and spelled the same way, too!), were meant for each other. The stars were aligned when these beauties met on a dating site where they really hit the jackpot. They also have similar interests proving just how compatible they are: they have sophisticated palates; they have big hearts and help rescue animals; and they are girls after own hearts—they love antiques and antiquing!

Their proposal was also perfect; actually, we should say proposals? On a romantic rendezvous to Sardinia, one of the Stephanies planned on asking for her best friend’s hand in marriage. The other Stephanie intuitively felt it was coming and wanted to be prepare to propose in-kind. One of them popped the question first with a beautiful ring and the other followed suit with an equally stunning ring. Their most important questions were in-synch and well-matched: perfectly timed, perfectly executed.

Flash forward to the wedding, the two women looked stunning in their gowns (one in BHLDN and one in Maggie Sottero) with lace overlays, veils, and sparkling jewelry. The two donned completed looks with hair and makeup by Makeup Therapy looking elegant and angelic, and both brimmed with love and emotion upon seeing each other. Their wedding was coordinated by our dear friend Christine at CM Weddings & Events and held at one of our favorite venues Brookview Ranch in Agoura Hills neighboring Malibu.

Though the women love vintage and antiques, for the ceremony they also wanted a modern twist and forward-thinking. Because of them, we have our Rustic Hexagon Arch in our collection. We presented the finished product at their wedding and they loved it. They walked down the aisle together hand-in-hand as a string quartet played, the women gathered under the arch where a close friend officiated. Gorgeous asymmetrical floral gatherings by Jaclyn and her team at Down Emery Lane adorned the arch with a mix of purple blooms like hydrangeas, roses, and succulents. Down Emery Lane created gorgeous personal bouquets for the women as well as all the arrangements for the ceremony and reception. A typical wedding guest might find seating on each bride’s side with the same name Stephanie confusing. The ladies added a touch of levity to an event that otherwise carries gravitas. In order to allow the two sides to really blend the ladies created rustic signs that read “Steph’s side” with an arrow on each side. We love their tongue-in-cheek humor.

When we first spoke with the Stephs, they really wanted that classic vintage style in their wedding. They valued the beauty attached to bespoke decor, but also it reflected their personalities (Check out The Vondys beautiful engagement session on them flea marketing at the historic Rose Bowl in Pasadena). One of the Stephanies was an avid collector and had her own treasure trove to boot. It was important that their personal pieces were woven in the wedding. They wanted vintage lounges (including their personal touches like one of their trunks, crates, typewriters, and globes) for their guests to enjoy and spark intimate conversations, rather than being relegated to sitting in wood wedding chairs all night and stuck at one table. Their charming dessert bar with treats by Daniela’s Kitchen and donuts by Blinkie’s Donuts also carried the vintage and rustic vibes. We love the antique kitchen scales and trays the Stephanies used to display the desserts: so eye-catching and unique—just like them.

The newlywed couple, friends, and family basked in fun, love, and joy over this momentous occasion. They danced the night away, laughed and goofed around with silly photos in the photo booth by Get Dapper , drank, ate, and had a fun, beautiful and lovely time. Stephanie and Stephanie are an amazing couple surrounded by love from family and friends. One thing we remember when it came to the end of the night was how many guests they had and how everyone pitched in when the event ended (and even began). A testament of how much they are truly cared for.

Their whole wedding was gorgeous from start to finish and we cherish the love these two special humans have for each other. You can see Spark Story Cinema elegantly capture their emotional vows, loving embraces, and the pure joy and bliss felt amongst all who attended and especially the two women. (We’re not crying, you are!)

Wishing you lots of love, happiness, and a wonderful life together as a married couple Stephanies! We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
