Whimsical Garden Wedding Styled Shoot
If you haven’t had a chance to check out our recent feature on 100 Layer Cake, read on for more on the Provenance Rentals blog. See this spring shoot with real life gorgeous couple Asher + Molly Kate. Days before this shoot took place, Asher, a Ford model, proposed to his stunning girlfriend, Molly Kate, a make-up artist. By the time of publication these two already tied the knot. They beam with love in this romantic garden setting at Eden Gardens before they said “I do.”
Photographer Brett Loie dreamed up this idea and pulled a host of talented vendors together to execute it. Wedding planner and designer Jason Lloyd knew just how to meticulously place all the moving parts. Provenance Rentals was fortunate to work with everyone as well as flaunt our vintage rentals.
Some of our favorite shots are from our fellow rental colleagues. Rustic Urban Events loaned their handmade farmhouse tables. We were spellbound by the sweetheart table vignette with upholstered armchairs. Whitewashed farmhouse tables are incomplete without Via La Roche’s vintage tabletop décor. The mismatched china paired with gold flatware and depression glass is something out of a fairytale. Jason draped blush-tone chiffon across the table while Venice Wildflower added greenery runners with pops of color. Chiffon and gorgeous flowers also decorated the cake table. Our bright white pop-up vanity with brass knobs and pink cut glass cake stand circa 1960’s held the three-tiered cake by Mwokaji Cakery. The cohesive balance of pink and green and rustic and vintage run throughout making it the perfect marriage.
Since pink was the primary color we knew that our velvet Victorian sofa with wood trim, a cameo back, and tufting was meant for this shoot. Molly Kate and Asher looked like they belonged on this. Sharing an intimate gaze, a smile, and kiss makes this sofa much more special. It has been part of many couples' important moments and memories. We love that the sofa carries meaning with each wedding, or event.
The details make this shoot: for instance, the elegant and delicate stationery. Simply Rooted fashioned an invitation suite with hand lettering to cherish and collect. The textured paper created depth, especially when styled with small props such as antique scissors, a ceramic bowl, and the quintessential ring box by The Mrs Box. This is what brides (and blogs) live for.
And let’s talk about the beautiful couple and wardrobe. Molly Kate rocked an A-line wedding gown with lace overlay by Madeleine Fig. She couldn’t look more angelic if she tried, especially with the sparkling jewelry by Bekah Anne. Her shoes were delicate and paired so nicely with the dress. We're swooning over the shot with our silver vintage hammered tray with handles, shoes by Bella Belle Shoes resting atop the veil by Madeleine Fig. Makeup and hair by Blush and Brush by Silvia made the natural beauty, Molly Kate, look like a knock-out. We can only imagine how Asher felt about her. As for Asher, he donned a smart tuxedo by Ferndales Bridal looking handsome as ever and let’s face it, practically perfect.
We know only exciting things are in store for this lovely couple. Keep up with everyone featured here below, and be sure to check out our blog and site for more exciting news. xo
